Dripstop Membrane

Dripstop membrane on the reverse of the sheeting provides a medium for trapping moisture in the specially designed pockets formed in the felt membrane. Dripstop holds that moisture until conditions go back below the dew point and it is released back into the air in the form of normal humidity.

What Is Dripstop?

Dripstop is a special membrane that solves condensation problems inside buildings with uninsulated roofing. When the condensation process starts, water drops start to form on the underside of the roof. Dripstop absorbs around 1.000 g/m2 of water which is stored in tiny pockets in the membrane. When it becomes warmer, water starts to evaporate back into the air and the Dripstop membrane will start to dry off again.

DripStop can be used in virtually any environment or structure where condensation is a problem. However the structure must have a guaranteed supply of airflow such as open sided or fronted buildings, for instance agricultural barns or industrial units. Remember, DripStop does not prevent condensation; the structure must be adequately ventilated to allow the material to dry out between the cycles in order for the membrane to work properly. If condensation is a problem then we do have vented sheets which could help alleviate the problem.

How Much Is Dripstop?

It's really not that expensive and in our opinion, definitely worth it if the building has condensation issues! Dripstop can be applied to your sheeting from as little as £2.75 /mtr however the price is set depending on the particular sheeting profile so it's best to either try using the quote calculator or adding different sheets to your basket and applying Dripstop so you can see the price difefrence per product.

What Products Can I Apply Dripstop To?

Dripstop is generally available for the following products: 32/1000 Sheeting, 34/1000 Sheeting, 32/1000 Box Tile Effect Sheeting, 33/1000 Pan Tile Effect Sheeting and 13.5/3" Corrugated Sheeting.
